As Orchestra Conductor of the Portuguese Soil Orchestra within SOILSCAPE, Fundação de Serralves works to connect scientists, educators and communities, bringing data and art together to deepen understanding and care for the ground beneath us. This work matters because soil health underpins food, water, biodiversity and climate resilience, yet it is too often overlooked and hard to grasp. Our role is to translate the hidden rhythms of soil into a shared experience that informs and inspires, inviting people to listen differently and to build bridges across disciplines and audiences.
