Soil Literacy: Defining innovative solutions to promote soil literacy and transformative engagement
SOILSCAPE continues its mission to spread a deeper understanding of soil and its importance across Europe. In the second phase of this journey, the SOILSCAPE team set out to create innovative ways to raise awareness and engage citizens and professionals in soil preservation. Their work begins with the development of a Soil Literacy Starter Pack, a guide that will help regions set up their own networks and connect people from diverse backgrounds to protect the earth beneath their feet. The team will also design a multilingual Soil Literacy Portal to share knowledge and inspire action worldwide. Through creative pilot actions like choreographic workshops and soil trails, they aim to bring soil education to life, encouraging individuals to discover the impact of their everyday choices on the land. As the story unfolds, the SOILSCAPE network will grow, with every new participant contributing to a brighter future for the soil that sustains us all.
