Soil and fashion are more closely interlinked than it seems. On 29th of August, Fashion Revolution Switzerland invites the public to Maison Shift in Zurich for an event exploring this connection by bringing together perspectives from agriculture, soil science, fashion and art.
The programme will include contributions from FiBL, Swiss Flax, Agroscope, Edie Lou Studio and Larissa Riesen, creating space for exchange, awareness and dialogue around the connections between clothing, agriculture and environmental systems.
The event will also present Soil Bodies – The Living Tapestry, a citizen science project developed by Edie Lou Studio in collaboration with Agroscope and FiBL. The project raises awareness of soil health while strengthening material literacy around textiles. Participants bury and recover garments in different soils, documenting their transformation. The resulting pieces will ultimately come together in The Living Tapestry, a collective artwork that will be exhibited publicly.
Want to participate in the Soil Bodies project? Register here before October 2026.
